The Cardigan Arms was always been a jewel in the Leeds pub heritage crown, but several years ago Kirkstall Brewery brought it back to its former glory and made it shine more brightly than it had for many years. With no less than four rooms, a drinking lobby by the bar and an upstairs quiz/function room the pub is certainly not lacking in space or variety. Whether you are looking for a traditional tap room, ornate woodwork, etched glass or bell pushes, the Cardigan has it all and more besides. Built in 1893 to an elaborate Italianate style it is named after the Earl of Cardigan who was a major landowner around the Burley and Headingley area. A pub quiz is held on Tuesday evenings. Children allowed until 9pm.
