This pub was called Central Station back in 1974 and was in the first Good Beer Guide produced'. Back then it served Tetley Bitter & Mild. Now it serves a range of 4 cask ales. We presented a blue plaque to recognise this.

On the Tuesday evening we handed over to Danni, manager of the pub, the second of our blue plaques in recognition of the pub being in the first ever Good Beer Guide. A choice of 5 cask ales, with Tetley Bitter continuing to be sold 50 years later.

On Saturday 20th July 9 hardy souls made their way to the Chequers Inn at Ledsham to present the first of five blue plaques.

The plaques are being presented to the remaining five out of eight original Good Beer Guide entrants in our area from 50 years ago.

We were blessed with a fine sunny day, and good beer as we sat out in the beer garden at the rear. The photo shows the treasurer Keith presenting the award to Felix on behalf of Chequers with chair person Christine also in shot.
