See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Former shop unit, now a one room, long and relatively narrow pub with the bar separating front and rear areas, the latter giving access to further covered seating outside. There are also a couple of tables out the front. The 5 cask ales and 10 keg beers are listed on a board opposite the bar with an emphasis on local breweries. The pumps are numbered to correspond with the board and the beer is served in multiples of both thirds and halves. The cask ales are numbered from 11 to 15. As might be expected from the name there is a wide choice of gins available with a table menu. The décor is eclectic; doors decorate one wall and the bar front, panelling another, bare brick yet another, while the floor is part tiled, part parquet. The inner front door handle is a repurposed pump handle. The toilets are in the cellar down steep stairs. There is a quiz night every Sunday and a monthly Gin and Bingo night. Close to a number of bus services and half a mile from Horsforth railway station. Children allowed until 7pm. Cask Ale Wednesdays - all local ales at £3. Card payment only. Closed on Mondays during the winter months.
